Yes, indeed. I have no fear of Friday the Thirteenth. Superstitions arise from flawed theology and very flawed human beliefs/opinions.
Foofraw on it all.
Lucifer, for example. This guy.
From the comic book, not the Bible.
The show and its showrunners basically take the old Greek/Roman mythologies
and repackage them in a quasi-Christian rubric. Cubed, of course.
Which brings to mind another mythric anthology series from a few decades ago, which played fast and loose with theology/myths with a veneer of Christianity.
This one:
Ridiculous, sometimes gory, but never 'scary', except for that 80's wardrobe and
styling.
That was a fun decade. Just the other night I watched one of my FAVORITE renditions of Shakespeare's Danish prince ever filmed. This one:
The lovely lady in view, portrayed by Lynne Griffin, is the Prince. How cool is that?
The mustachioed gentleman on the far right is her Ophelia. Between the two lovebirds we have Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, AKA Bob and Doug Mckenzie.
a strange brew, indeed, but more fun than six half dozen of the drecks polluting TV today.
Doug says check it out.
